For some Children the joy of learning to dance is enough. For others, the satisfaction of taking a medal and passing is another. Children and adults may take exams when the teacher decides that they have reached the required standard to cover all the required elements for passing. The school is more than happy for adults and children not take medals if they are not interested.  It maybe advisable to have extra private lessons with your teacher to polish up on technique and presentation. (For adults, this is a required element in taking the exam as the class size is normally too big for the teacher to work on a one on one basis.)

What are the required elements the examiners are looking for: Rhythm, Technique, Poise, Presentation, Timing, Footwork, Use of Arms Leg and Muscle Tone.

** Medallists are required to meet all of the above elements in order to succeed well in the exam.

Children Classes - These are charged at £5.00 per 30 minute class.                                                  Fees are paid at the start of term for the full term.

Fees that have not been paid within 2 weeks of their due date will incur a 5% additional charge.

**  Additional fees are payable for relevant exams -                                                                     please see the Examination section for details or speak to a teacher for more information.

Adults Classes - Adult classes cost £6.00 for 2 hours .                                                                      Adult classes will be paid on a weekly admission.

Private Lessons – POA  Private Lessons are for 45 minutes with a professional trained dance teacher. They  will work solely with you to discuss elements in your own dancing to improve skills and awareness. The teacher will concentrate on techniques in body posture, timing, footwork, presentation, expression and rhythms to bring the pupil as an individual to the next level of dance.
